Sharkbait

Hey guys,

This is a new personal work i finished after a request to submit some work to the 3dtotal volume 3 book and possibly the expose book as well. I have got no idea if it is good enough to get into the book but its worth a try.

I worked on this for quite a while (on and off for several months in between normal work) and had the idea in my head for even longer. the bathroom was finished first wich wasn't very hard, but then came the challenge of creating a reasonable realistic shark wich at least is good enough to give the emotion of fear and power when looking at the image.

After that i had to make the water wich was quite difficult to get to the right look. The water in the bath is made with mudbox and the spray is made with particles in max.

The duck is powered into the air by the attacking shark, just so you know why it is there (since it is a rubber duck and offc cant move by itself

I thought the name "Sharkbait" was a fitting name for the image.

I realy hope you guys like it and offcoarse crits and comments are welcome.

It has been a while since i posted anything on cgtalk. I finally have some time again for my private work and wanted to begin with something nice and simple.

I used polymodeling for the guy hanging there and spline modeling for the rest. There is no story behind this piece except that i liked the idea (although probably not the most original ideas) and it was fun working on it.

Any critics or comments are welcome.
Enjoy

Hi everybody,
This is my newest work wich i worked on for about one month on and off. I started this piece even before my other work "Spiritual Ambiance" and has somewhat the same theme. It was purely for fun.
I was inspired by the game "Beyond good & evil" wich had some sort of chinese shop. I wanted to create an fairly modern kitchen and ended up making a kinda old building around it. I liked the mixture of the old style and the almost sci-fi look.
The image was made with 3dmax and vray and did some extensive post-production in photoshop.
I would like crits about, well whatever you can think off so i can improve things on my next projects.
Your welcome to look at the high res image also.
This piece is named "Day and Night". It started out as a day scene but after a while i thought that it would make a nice training subject to try out a night shot, wich is what i tried here.
I used 3dmax, vray and photoshop for creating both pieces.

Hey guys,
This is officially my first post in the 2d forum section and i am a little hesitant to showing this work.
I made this image in about 4 hours with photoshop only and was having fun in between my 3d projects.... I know my 2d skills isnt up there yet between the big boys/girls on this 2d forum but i wanted to show it anyways.
Its a mattepainting and a little concept art in one piece. I always had some kind of picture in my head with a nice striped van in the serengeti wildpark.
So i found some images on google and tried to change the original to my own vision and colour scheme. i hope that i made the difference between my own version and the original big enough.
Here are the highres original and a compilation of all images used.

Dude, Where's My Ship

Hello people,
This is my latest work made in 3dmax using Vray and Photoshop for retouching.
Although the title says otherwise my real story behind this picture is that he finds himself adrift in a minefield when he wakes up in the middle of the night after spending couple of weeks in that raft.
I started out with a concept of a ship floating around in sea surrounded by mines, but the scene kept changing and I ended up with the raft floating in the ocean. The raft opposed a bigger problem as I never done a character before so here is my try at it.
It was purely done for fun and a nice change from the architectural images I made. It took about one month on and off to complete the image.
You can find a flat shaded and wire version here:
